Volunteer:
Do you want to get hands-on with this program? If you have a love for horses and making an impact someone's life, this is for you. Without the help of our volunteers, our program would not be what it is today. Volunteers get right into the action with our lessons everyday. With our positive environment, everyone with this program is laughing and smiling the entire time. Worried about not having enough experience? No problem. We train every volunteer at our facility. Still worried? Take a class with us first. This is the best way for you to see first hand what we do at Victory Ridge Inc. This program looks amazing on college and job resumes. Contact one of our mentors for more information about getting involved with our volunteer program.
Donate:
Our program can get very expensive to operate. Our scholarship program relies on donations to support our participants lessons. Each year our program needs insurance, our horses need feed, equipment, farrier work, vet checks, and much more. Our facility needs electricity, regular maintenance, and occasional repairs, just to name a few. We strive to keep our program fees as low as we possibly can.
All donations are tax exempt. With your donation we will send you a thank you and a receipt with your total amount and our tax exempt number for your benefit.
Sponsor a Horse: As mentioned above horses have a lot of upkeep to them. Every six weeks their hooves need to be trimmed. Each year they need a vet check with vaccines and a Coggins test drawn. Unexpected vet bills may occur for one of our horses throughout the year. The cost of our horse's feed is roughly three dollars a day. Every horse has their own tack that is fit specifically to them for our clients safety. Tack for the horse must be replaced immediately if it poses any danger. If you decide to help sponsor a horse you can choose which one you would like to donate towards. We love our horses very much. They are the backbone to our program and we strive to give each one the best life they deserve.
Donate Goods: We are always looking for donations like fly spray for the horses, paper towels, disinfectant spray, leather oil, water bottles, hay, horse supplies. Do you have something around the house you feel like we can use? Things like office supplies, fans, tables, chairs, outdoor children's toys.
Spread the Word:
Most of our advertising is done through word of mouth. If you know someone who may benefit from our program, please let them know about us. Come out and make an appointment so you can witness our facility operating on one of our open days. We encourage everyone to come and help out make an impact on someone's life.
Host a Victory Ridge Representative to Speak: Do you have a youth group or organization that would like to hear about Victory Ridge Inc. Have one of our representatives come and speak to your organizations about the benefits of therapeutic horsemanship.
