Victory Ridge specializes in horsemanship lessons for people with special needs.
Do you know what horses can do to help improve someone's quality of life? It can improve a persons center of gravity and balance. Riding horses can increase muscle tone and promotes healthy exercise with low joint impact. Horse encounters helps release positive endorphins. Interacting with horses can reduce stress and anxiety. It helps with decision making, team building, and confidence. These are just a few examples of how horses can help someone with special needs.

Your Own Customized Session From The Ground Up

Welcome to Victory Ridge Inc. We are so excited to have you here. We want you to achieve the most positive equine experience possible with us. We have individually tailored each lesson to your needs, wants, and goals. We have developed a very detailed curriculum with fun tools to help you achieve your best. This is a fun and safe equestrian learning center. We want you to always leave here with a smile on your face.

Everyone is allowed to learn at their own pace and ability. We do not discourage or force a client to achieve their goals and tasks. We take each individual and customize their lesson to them to help reach their goals. We have a knowledgeable team who are very understanding to your unique circumstances.

In the beginning of every client’s journey, we ask them and their family what their goal is at Victory Ridge. Every one of our clients has unique goals, and sessions will be specifically tailored to you. Victory Ridge has developed a structured system and it acts as a guideline to follow and help record, improve, and challenge our participants equestrian journey. We reserve one hour block for your lesson. Within that block a participant sets their time with their horses. Some may only interact with a horse for 15 minutes some may go for 45 minutes. Every lesson adapts to that participants day. When you have a lesson with Victory Ridge the participant is our main focus. There is no other lessons or activities taking place at the time of your block. Our full attention is directed to you.

Victory Ridge will monitor to see where you excel and what we can work on in a positive learning environment. We also have adaptive equipment that is available, if needed, so you will have the safest lesson possible.

We call our participants Victory Riders. We encourage the participants family, friends, and support group to be involved with the participants lessons. Victory Riders who have a physical, mental, or emotional disability get to experience our program for FREE. This is possible through donations, fundraising efforts, and community support. We understand that having a special need can be financially restricting. We made our Scholarship Program, of therapeutic horsemanship lessons, for them.

For people who want beginning riding lessons for themselves or maybe their kids, we do charge $25.00 for a 30 minute lesson.

Our sessions take place in three areas at the facility. We have a 40 foot round pen, for the participant to be up close and personal with the horse. Then we will teach the participant how to round pen and communicate with the horse. We do a lot of fun games to help participants become better acquainted to the horse while building their confidence. We have a 70x140 outdoor arena that has a built in mounting ramp which is handicapped accessible. This makes getting on and off the horse safer and easier. Here is where you will begin to learn the basics of horseback riding. We incorporate fun games on horseback. We make every lesson interesting and fresh. We have beautiful trails through the woods that make the driving a very relaxing program. You get to become very close and connected to nature when you drive in the cart with us.

Here at Victory Ridge, family and friends are encouraged to watch and assist you in the participants lessons, if they feel comfortable. We believe to achieve your best, a great support system is needed. Our staff will also serve as your support system as well. Family, friends, and caregivers are welcome to enjoy and relax at our beautiful facility. They will find our gorgeous hills, woods, and the natural landscaping a place to relax and unwind.
